This video is 20 minutes long, but quite entertaining and worth the time commitment to watch. A few of his points, using my paraphrasing:
creativity is as important as literacy
if you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original
all kids are born artists, the challenge is to remain an artist as you grow up
educational systems were designed to meet the needs of industrialism–job skills and academic success
intelligence is diverse, dynamic, and distinct
see our creative capacities for the richness they are and our children for the hope they are
